  6.     Introduction

  9.     TDL is a program designed to help you maintain a list of "to do" items. 
  10.     These items can be deleted, saved, rescheduled, edited, have alarms, notes
  11.     or telephone numbers associated, and lots more. A fuller list of features
  12.     is given below.

  17.     TDL needs Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups V3.1 or V3.11.
  18.     Untested on other versions of Windows or Windows lookalikes.

  23.     TDL includes the following functionality:

  25.     o Postponing of items by a given number of days, or until
  26.       a specific date
  27.  
  28.     o Closing of items, which are saved for later reports, etc
  29.  
  30.     o Permanent deleting of items
  31.  
  32.     o Editing of items
  33.  
  34.     o Alarms attached to items
  35.  
  36.     o Notes attached to items
  37.  
  38.     o Maintenance of a telephone number database, with the ability
  39.       to associate a telephone number with an item
  40.  
  41.     o Prioritisation of items
  42.  
  43.     o Notification of overdue items
  44.  
  45.     o The ability to handle multiple databases open simultaneously (a
  46.       "database" in this context is a list of related items. For
  47.       example, you may have a list of to do items for project X, another
  48.       for project Y, and a third list of personal to do items).

  50.     o The ability to assign meaningful (non-8.3) names to databases
  51.  
  52.     o The ability to automatically load given databases on startup, and
  53.       to determine which one will be displayed by default
  54.  
  55.     o Extensive customisation options

  57.     Installation

  60.     Unzip the kit to a floppy disk or a spare directory on your hard disk,
  61.     and execute SETUP.EXE (if you do this from DOS, Windows will automatic-
  62.     ally be started for you). Then simply follow the on-screen instructions.

  67.     You are wecome to redistribute this application provided that:

  69.         1. All files, including this one, are distributed
  70.         2. No charges are made, other than a nominal one for copying the
  71.            files

  73.     Product registration

  76.     TDL is shareware: it is NOT free. You are entitled to try it for a
  77.     period of thirty days without doing anything. If you wish to continue 
  78.     to use it beyond that time, you must register it.

  80.     To register it for private use, please send a picture postcard (of
  81.     any kind) to the address below. Please give at least your name and
  82.     either email or postal address. Other comments are welcome! Those
  83.     providing Email addresses will automatically be notified of new
  84.     releases.
